Today is Remembrance Day. This is a time to reflect on those who died for us and are still fighting for us to have the basic freedoms that is denied by many.

Put away all you think about war and governments today as today is a time to remember the soldiers are the ones on the front lines fighting for us. No matter if you feel war is bad or is not necessary, the truth is there is still wars going on and we need to support the ones who are fighting and are sacrificing their lives for us.

Today, I’ve posted some beautifully designed stamps to commemorate our soldiers:

Issued by Royal Post in 2008, the stamp marks the start of WWI. The stamp features an unknown solider who died in Belgium in 1918. Like many others, his body lies in an unmarked grave

Stamp 1

Released in 2007. The above illustrates the raw emotion of the plight of the soldiers and features the soldiers embarking a long battle..

Stamp 2

This one issued by Canada Post released October 2009. Remembering those who fought in previous wars…and who are now fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq.

stamp3

We will never forget.
