will work for you!

what’s this? Two posts on design that’s what! I figured it be best to post two separate blogs so as to separate the two design inspirations (I cannot justify putting these great pieces together!)

In all of my years of design in the in-house design aspect, I always wanted to see how it would be on the other side of the spectrum. The creative agency side or the creative magazine side. On one hand, working in an in house department – you are exposed to some amazing designs and you are able to input your own creative aspirations. On the other hand, your design and visions may become stagnant while trying to maintain the corporate brand. And, you need to adhere to the same audience over and over (albeit – may not respond to a modern vision depending on what kind of company it is).

I never had the opportunity to work in a creative agency atmosphere and I wish I did have the opportunity to do so. I imagine it’s not that much different than working in an in-house department except you will have to maintain a constant creative flow (which I love) but you are also on a constant struggle to reach different audiences (depending on the company).

Anywho, I came across this amazing magazine called NewWork Magazine. “NEWWORK magazine is a large-format arts publication for Connoisseur of fresh ideas. Designed and published biannually by studio NEWWORK, each issue features new work from a wide range of artists and creators in the worlds of fine art, design, high fashion, culture, and politics.”

Beautifully laid out with great usage of typography and photography.
