I love French pastries – my favourite thing to eat is profiterole or choux creme . It is soooo good with just the right amount of sweetness and dare I say “puffiness” 😀

Today, I came across Theurel & Thomas, first pâtisserie in Mexico specialized in French macarons, the most popular dessert of the French pastries. ummm…so delcious looking! Design and Branding was developed by Anagrama, a multi-disciplinary studio that specialises in brand identity and design based out of Mexico City, Mexico.

I love the usage of white space and allowing the product to speak for itself. The bursts of colour from the macroons are perfectly married with the usage of white.

White was our primary tool for design. As a result of this the attention was fully oriented to the colorful macarons. We placed two lines in our design in cyan and magenta, as a relation with a modern French flag to inject a vanguard vision to the identity. We selected Didot (created by Firmin and Pierre Didot), a French typography that would present the brand with sophistication.
