Well, I’ll be off to the land of Havana in minus 3 days! A and I booked a last minute trip to Cuba and hopefully be taking in some nice R&R by the beach! So look for some (hopefully) fab pics to come! My next blog will be devoted to some pictures and a taste of Cuba culture 😉
I’m a big fan of intricate artwork, in particularly to designs in mixed media. I found these gorgeous pieces of artwork designed Mia Pearlman. Simply divine! Each piece is carefully designed into dimensional pieces of art; sculpted with positive space within the environment. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, Grafik Magazine and various shows around the globe.
From her website:
I make site-specific cut paper installations, ephemeral drawings in both two and three dimensions that blur the line between actual, illusionistic and imagined space. Sculptural and often glowing with natural or artificial light, these imaginary weather systems appear frozen in an ambiguous moment, bursting through walls and windows, or hovering within a room.
All work above is copyright of Mia Pearlman
As I said, I simply **love love love** the dimensional interpretation of each piece. So carefully orchestrated and constructed, Pearlman’s art work transcends with the embodiment of fluidity and space. Just beautiful!
